Provincial Commissioner of SAPS Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Daphney Manamela promised to leave no stone unturned after the alleged kidnapping of the Municipal Manager at Nkangala District Municipality, Maggie Skosana and her driver have been kidnapped after they were attached just before entering the premises at municipality gate.
This information came to light after case of kidnapping was opened at Middleburg on Thursday, 20 October 2022.
“According to police reports it was indicated that the victims were stopped by suspects in a white sedan posing as police officials in police uniform and the vehicles were seen traveling towards the same direction.
The victim’s vehicle was recovered along with her wheelchair and other properties abandoned with no trace of the vehicles on site,” said the spokes of the office of the Commissioner, Brigadier Selvy Mohlala.
No arrests have been made and police are calling on anyone who can assist the police to locate the alleged victims and information regarding the whereabouts of the alleged kidnappers to contact Lieutenant Colonel Mandla Motha on 082 462 2746 or alternatively, members of the public can call the Crime Stop number at 08600 10000 or send information via MYSAPSAPP.
