The MMC for community services at Govan Mbeki Municipality, Cllr Tracy Seimela, deployed by the Economic Freedom Fighters, visited Shapeve Primary School in eMbalenhle on Tuesday, 20 January 2026.
The purpose of the visit was to donate school shoes to boost learners’ confidence and self-esteem.
The reason Cllr Seimela is starting her campaign at Shapeve is that she is a former learner at the school.
“Small gestures make a big impact; every child deserves comfort and confidence in school. Education matters,” said Seimela.
Thirty-two (32) pairs of school shoes were donated.
Cllr Seimela wishes to continue with the campaign and help more learners around the Govan Mbeki Municipality.
