Miss Gert Sibande 2019 finalist, Sinenhlenhla Msimango is an aspiring model who also consider herself a future businesswoman.

After she matriculated in 2015, she moved from Newcastle to Embalenhle so that she is able to pursue her Business Management studies at GS College in Evander.

Sinenhlanhla entered the Miss Gert Sibande Region 2019 and was her first time to take part at the beauty contest.

“I was encouraged by friends and family members who saw a great potential in me to become a model,” said Sinenhlanhla who further explained that she did not have any interest in modelling.

Another person who also encouraged her to consider modelling was her current manager.

“He insisted that I should enter one of the beauty pageant’s competition in Embalenhle,” she added.

Even though modelling was not on her future cards, she always had a great interest in fashion, make-up, photo shoots, and social media.

Being in the public eye was unavoidable for this model since she was featured in a music video by a local artist, became a brand ambassador and a face for a local company.

“Entering my first pageant has been a highlight as it really gave me confidence and courage to finally realize pursue my career in modelling.

I don’t feel I am the best yet, but have a lot of room for learning and a lot to offer to South Africans,” Sinenhlanhla said confidently.

“This young model’s short term goal would be to register for media studies.

My long-term goal is to be a businesswoman and offer the youth a platform to improve their skills or talent in modelling. I love and prefer modelling or advertising clothing labels.”

She also mentioned that she able to express herself more when doing brand advertising or showcasing new fashion trends since her body allows her to wear anything.
