According to report the body of 15-year-old Karabo Monyama was discovered on Wednesday, 08 March 2023, buried in a shallow grave in the backyard of her allegedly 23-year-old boyfriend in Cyferskuil, Northwest.
Furthermore, according to the information received, it is alleged that the victim was last seen on Sunday, 05 March 2023 at about 13:00h when she left home to watch soccer at a nearby field.
However, she never returned back home.
Therefore, a search was conducted around the neighbourhood and Cyferskuil precinct without any success.
It is alleged that the boyfriend was arrested on the same day, and he was charged for cases of murder, perjury and defeating the end of justice.
According to reports, the alleged boyfriend is expected to appear in the Moretele Magistrate’s court today on Friday, 10 March 2023 for his first appearance before the court.
