A hall full of beautiful women in hats and heels celebrating Women’s Day in commemorating the women who marched to the Union Buildings in Pretoria in 1956.

Women in mining filled up the Sports Hall at Sasol Recreation Club in Secunda on Tuesday, 08 August 2023 celebrating National Women’s Day and admiring all phenomenal women in our country.

The event aimed to celebrate and honour women and young girls while given an opportunity to spend the day networking with like-minded people.

The aim of the event was also for everyone gathered in the hall to learn about current issues affecting women and girls and also hear from esteemed guest speakers invited to share their stories.

“I want each and every one to go out of this hall with a different mindset about themselves and their happiness,” said Mashudu Ndou, head of community affairs while welcoming everyone.

While other women were listening to the guest speakers, others were outside pampering their faces at different make-up artists.

Sasol wishes to host bigger and more successful events, not only on Women’s month but every month as they believe that women go through it all.
