The African Transformation Movement hosted a Provincial manifesto launch and build-rally on Friday, 13 October 2023 at Lillian Ngoyi Stadium.
As the movement was gearing up for the day, The Twelve Apostle Church of Christ had an International Mothers Prayer Week led by the ATM Women League National Chairperson, Ms Thandi Marawu.
The purpose of the Mother’s Prayer was to seek strength and guidance from the almighty God in preparation for the 2024 elections. It was also an opportunity to educate and motivate the ATM members on the importance of voting and how they will transform the current state of governance.
Ms Marawu emphasised the pain and cries mothers have regarding the problems children are facing daily, including the lack of employment and the consumption of drugs.
The ATM has been at the forefront of addressing and pleading with the SAPS to be harsh to drug sellers and corruption in the employment processes.
Their vote will ensure that the economy is localised to create jobs for the unemployed youth of South African.
The Provincial build-up rally, which was attended by the APC, Faith Organisations, and Traditional Royal House, as well as ATM Leadership President Vuyolwethu Zungula and SG Thandisizwe Khukhula.
They left the ATM Members with words of wisdom and encouragement to vote and also educated the communities of Mpumalanga about the impact their vote has on transforming the UI of governance.
Mr Zungula motivated members to work as a team with opposition parties in the upcoming elections as well as in their municipalities.
Their participation in local municipal programmes will help members and leadership engage and share ideas to solve the problems their communities are facing.
