Two local men, both aged 38 years, were arrested for possession of stolen meat at the Value of R100000. at N17 between Leslie and Devon road, today 04 November 2025 at about 04h45.

The members of crime prevention conducted a crime prevention patrols and stop and search on the N17 Road.

During the patrol they noticed a white bakkie with a canopy registration No: FF88CB GP driving towards devon, the police chased the vehicle using blue light until it stopped.

Upon searching the vehicle the police discovered slaughtered carcasses with skin still attached and covered in grass, it would appear as thou they had just been slaughtered. The driver could not give a valid explanation why they were in possession of the meat.

The two were then arrested at the scene.
