Bethal Police would like to thank the media house and communities for assisting by spreading the message about looking for the family of the deceased, whose body was found between Bethal and Kriel Road near Witrand Farm.
The body was positively identified by the family on Thursday, 07 March 2024.
This is after the police received a complaint about the lifeless body of a man wearing a blue trouser, colourful t-shirt, grey, and black jersey found near a bridge with his head cut off and separated from his body on Tuesday, 09 January 2024.
The police summoned all role players, including Bethal Emergency Service, Bethal forensic pathology, and Secunda Local Criminal Record Centre personnel, Warrant Officer Vuyokazi Small performed the measuring and photographing of the scene.
The body was collected from the scene for forensic pathology by Miss Nomasonto Nkumane, the forensic pathologist.
