Police in Kinross have raised concerns over a recent increase in cable theft in the area, following several complaints reported at the local police station.
In the latest incident, an unknown man was captured on camera footage in Kinross town, near the houses situated along the railway line. The man is suspected of being linked to recent cable theft incidents in the area.
Police are appealing to members of the community who may recognise the man in the picture or have any information that could assist with the investigation to come forward.
Anyone with information that may help identify the man is urged to contact the investigating officer on 072 781 0131. Members of the public may also choose to remain anonymous or submit information through the MySAPS App.
Police are further urging residents to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity involving electrical cables to the authorities.
