Have you ever wanted to enter the Miss South Africa competition before but couldn’t because of the entry requirements, well 2023 might be your year.
The Miss South Africa eligibility requirements have changed to accommodate different kinds of women.
One of the requirements is that there is no restrictions in terms of marital status and parental status anymore, wether you have children or married, you now qualify to be part of the competition.
Age limit has been raised, applicants should be at least 20 years old of age and must be under 30 years of age as of 13 August 2023.
This means that an applicant can turn 30 within their year of reign.
Plus sized women can now also enter.
No minimum qualifications required to enter the completion.
Transgender women can also enter the competition provided that their ID documents reflect the amended gender indicator is female, if not, the applicant must have already made an application with the Department of Home Affairs in respect to the alteration of their gender indication.
‘’The main purpose to be inclusive and diverse is to find a women that will represents us for the next 365 days in service of South Africans.
Being Miss South Africa is not just about the outer appearance or physical beauty but it’s about what you have to offer this platform”, said Werner Wessels on the Miss South Africa Instagram page during a live question and answer session.
Entries for the Miss South Africa 2023 closes on Friday 05 May 2023 at 11h30.
