eMBALENHLE – Residents have blocked the roads with stones and burning tryes.
The four-way stop at Evander – Standerton road is blocked with stones and one vehicle was also burned.
The situation was also tense at the four-way stop near the Breeze restaurant.
Protesters, most of them being youth, said they will continue with the protest until the municipality pays Eskom.
Police were on scene, also trying to open the roads.
The K9-Unit also arrived on scene.
The police spokesperson could not tell the extent of the damage so far, but promised to give us more information as soon as he receive it.
