Vukanini Women’s Association visited two schools in eMbalenhle, namely Zamokuhle primary school and Sizwakele secondary school, on Tuesday, 27 February 2024.
The aim of the visit was to donate school uniforms as an initiative to give back to the community.
“Most community members use our taxis as their means of transportation, and this is why we have decided to give back to the community,” said Mrs Hlophe, Chairperson of the Vukanini Women’s Association.
Zamokuhle Primary School was one of the schools chosen, as one of the members is a teacher at the school, and five (5) learners from different grades received the uniforms.
Meanwhile, Sizwakele Secondary School was also chosen as they provided a venue for the association to attend their monthly meetings, and six (6) learners received the uniforms.
The uniforms included school shoes, trousers, shirts, jerseys, socks, and ties.
The association wishes to donate and help more learners at different schools in eMbalenhle.
