The Vusimuzi Group Foundation visited PE Maziya Primary School in Leandra on Thursday, 27 March 2025.
The purpose of the visit was to donate necessities to restore the dignity of learners.
As an initiative of giving back to the community, the donations are also aimed at supporting underprivileged learners, promoting equality in education, improving school identity and unity, and easing the financial burden on families.
The foundation donated necessities to the school, including thirty-two (32) branded school jerseys, thirteen (13) shirts, ten (10) trousers and sanitary towels to ensure that girls do not skip school due to not having enough sanitary towels during their menstrual cycle.
According to Ms Kebone Mofokeng, executive secretary at Vusimuzi Group Foundation, it is important to ensure that learners have the necessary resources to empower them to focus on their education without limitations.
“Empowerment through education sparks economic progress and unlocks opportunities that once felt impossible. By investing in individuals, we pave the way for a future where access, dignity, and opportunity are fundamental rights, not luxuries.
Seeing the joy and relief on the faces of the educators and knowing the impact on learners fills me with fulfilment. It is a privilege to contribute to building a supportive and unified community where every child has the opportunity to thrive,” she said.
The foundation strives to bring hope, gratitude, and encouragement to communities.
