Police received complaints from a member of the community who is a farmer on Sunday, 08 October 2023 at about 08h00.
According to police in Trichardt, the farmer reported that there was a woman lying next to his fence.
On arrival, the police found an African female between 20 and 35 years of age.
The victim is said to be light in complexion, about 1.4 meters in highgt and chubby.
The victim was wearing blue denim pants and a floral blouse without shoes.
It is alleged that her upper body was covered in blood already dried and she had multiple stab wounds on the head, stomach and hands.
All emergency personnel were summoned to the scene including paramedics and the victim was certified dead.
It would appear that the body was dumped there already stabbed.
A pair of shoes, blood and softdrink was found a few kilometers from the scene, LCRC took them for further investigation.
A case of murder was opened and registered.
The deceased is unknown and investigation is currently underway.
No arrests have been made yet.
