Ms Ncumiswa Mdlankomo, also known as Mkhozi by most of her students, at Gert Sibande TVET College, hosted an entrepreneur’s dialog at GS Evander Campus on Saturday, 17 June 2023.
The purpose of the event was to bring everyone under one roof with the aim of changing the mind-set of our young people around employment issues.
Another goal was to teach young people that they cannot rely on the government for employment, they must develop their skills and protect our economy.
It also assisted in informing our youth about the government structures that are available which can assist with funding and capital to help them start their own businesses.
“I invited different business people here to share their ideas and how everything actually started,” said Ma’am Ndlankomo.
Ndlankomo has also invested herself in entrepreneurship and also conducts an initiative where she provides sanitary towels to college students from low-income families to reduce absenteeism.
Ma’am Ndlankomo hopes that young people will have direction on how to become entrepreneurs after this event and share with their friends, family members and neighbors.
