Assemblies of God local church in Kinross donated 10 pairs of school uniform and school shoes to some of the learners from Kinross Primary School on Friday, 22 July 2022 under the banner of “Dress up a learner Campaign”.
The uniform hampers included shoes, tracksuits, jerseys, socks, trousers/skirts and shirts.
According to Mrs Ngodwana, the church has identified the vulnerable and destitute learners who do not have parents or anyone to take care of them.
“We worked with Ms Ngwekazi from the school to help us identify those learners to enable us to be able to achieve our goal,” said Mrs Ngodwana.
“Our pastor’s vision is to make all the learners look the same as other learners and not to be discriminated against because the purpose of school uniform is for them to look like other learners and not feel different as if they are neglected,” she added.
