As an initiative to give back to the community, the AyiGobi Economic Transformation Forum visited Khwezi primary school in Emzinoni township on Friday, 09 February 2024.
The aim of the visit was to donate school uniforms, including school shoes, trousers, and shirts.
According to the forum they chose this particular school as it is close to the informal settlement, where a number of people are jobless and cannot afford to buy new school uniforms.
“Our forum is this big today because of these people; the support they give us on the ground is amazing,” said Khulekani Vilakazi, Deputy Chairperson of AyiGobi Forum.
The forum strives to reach out to businesses and other community members to help donate more school uniforms, as they believe that it will make a difference in the school.
