Thozane (Bullet) dlamini was selected to play for Jomo Cosmos Development Team last year. He was named bullet for being the fastest player in his team. His selection happened during the trials held in Vosloorus. Bullet who is a centre back and striker for Magagasi FC in Charl Cilliers said their coach took them to the trials. The former learner at Zikhetheleni Secondary School decided to take a career is soccer and has full support from his family. His mother, Ms Lindiwe Hadebe said Bullet started playing soccer at a very young age and his talent was noticed by his aunt who requested that the family should be behind him.

“At first I was not comfortable seeing my child play with bigger boys, but now I understand his potential,” said Bullets mother. His mother further mentioned that she tries by all means to make sure that they buy his soccer boots and other essentials needed for his sport. Thokizane said he would like to play for either Secunda Stars or Zone Mavo while he is still waiting for a phone call from Jomo Cosmos. Bullets coach praised him as someone who is disciplined and not drinks or smoke.

“He is a very talented young man and I would like to see him going far with football,” said his coach, Simon Hadebe. Amagagasi FC played for LFA, but this year did affiliate to any league because of lack of sponsors. The coach added that owning a soccer team is very expensive because he had to hire transport all the time for his players. He urged local businesses to support his team. He further shared his frustration of seeing talented young people roaming the streets of Charl Cilliers because their team does not have funds.
