A police officer from the eMbalenhle Police Station allegedly got a complaint that a certain man had been brought to Evander Hospital with a gunshot wound to the right thigh on Saturday, 29 April 2023, at around 21H00.
Upon police arrival, officers were shown the victim who was lying in bed facing upwards and was already certified dead at hospital.
According to the eyewitness who were with the victim at the time of the incident, the deceased allegedly got into an argument with two African guys at eMbalenhle Ext. 17 next to a cheap corner just after the victim parked his car in front of the gate where he resides.
After a few minutes, an unknown African male whom he quarreled with pulled a pistol and shot the victim on the right thigh and fled the scene.
The suspects are unknown, and they were driving an unidentified motor vehicle. It is further alleged that there was a projectile that was found in the victim’s clothes.
