Sandile Kagiso Mantsoe, who grew up in eMbalenhle, is currently serving a 32-year sentence in prison for killing his girlfriend, Karabo Mokoena.
Montsoe appeared again at the Evander Magistrate Court on Monday, 8 May 2023, on fraud charges.
He is accused of visiting numerous government offices in December 2016, including the Departments of Justice, Municipalities, and Education, and convincing 180 individuals to pay over R2 million for a higher return on investment on his company, known as Trillion Dollar Legacy.
Whereas it is allegedly further stated that the accused did not pay his client’s money back as he promised, that’s where they ended up opening a case against him for scamming them.
The case was postponed again to 22 June 2023, for the appointment of a judicial attorney who will represent Sandile during his trial.
