Four men who are suspected to be members of the local gangs terrorising the community were arrested by the Emzinoni Police after they allegedly assaulted and killed a well known businessman.
His wife and son were also stabbed and rushed to the hospital.
According to Emzinoni Police Spokesperson, Const Cynthia Mtshweni the incident happened at around 2.30am on Sunday, 23 February.
The man was about to close his business when a gang arrived and demanded to enter the premises.
The deceased who was standing at the gate tried to stop them from entering and that is when they began to assault and stab him. He died on his way to the hospital.
The Emzinoni Station Commander applauded the police for launching a 24hr man haunt and arrest four men who were found with dangerous weapons on them.
The suspects will appear at Bethal Magistrate Court on Tuesday, 25 February.
