The owner of Esibayeni Breeze, Mr Judas Mphogo, has managed to help about four (4) young men who were addicted to drugs from Kinross.

During an interview with the Seskhona team, Judas said he is doing this initiative as part of giving back to the community for supporting his businesses, although this has put him in trouble with his family because he sometimes takes money meant for his family in order to send these young boys to rehab.

“I had several encounters with this young man before taking them to rehab.

Some would do odd jobs at Esibayeni and some would come to recycle bottles.

They would then ask me if I could help them want to quit drugs.

It is out of their own will that I therefore take them,” said Mr Mphogo.

Currently there are two young men who have completed the full six-month rehabilitation process in the past December, while the other two young men are set to finish this July 2023.

In total, there are six (6) young boys Mr Mphogo has taken to the rehabilitation centre even though two could not finish the process as they ran away and claimed to have quit drugs and would not go back to their old habits.

The rehabilitation process costs a total of R15 000.00 per person, broken down to R2 500.00 monthly installment for the duration of six (6) months.

Mr Mphogo said he would like to see this young man being recognised and given another chance by the community after finishing the rehabilitation process for them to not go back to their old habits.
