A 42-year-old male from eMbalenhle appeared before the Evander Magistrates court on Friday, 04 July 2025 for allegedly raping his 11-year-old biological daughter.
He is facing two counts of rape.
According to the police’s preliminary reports, the father allegedly used force to assault his daughter sexually and threatened to kill her and the siblings should she disclose it to anyone.
He appeared before the court for a bail application.
The state argued during the bail application that the accused had no circumstantial evidence to prove that he was eligible for bail.
Furthermore, the state argued that the accused had 14 different cases, emanating from common robbery and robbery with aggravating circumstances.
His bail was denied, and he is expected to appear before the court on the 8th of August 2025 for further investigation.
