Four suspects aged between twenty-two (22) and thirty-nine (39) years were arrested by police in Bethal on Sunday 24 July 2022 for possession of stolen motor vehicle.
The arrest came after the police were alerted by the security guards at Bethal mall about the suspicious vehicle parked at the parking area.
The police reported swiftly to the complaint and on arrival at the scene, the vehicle was pointed to the police with four suspects in it.
The police conducted preliminary investigation, the police noticed that the vehicle was reported stolen in Gauteng at Jeppe police station earlier this month.
The four suspects were arrested at the scene and detained at Bethal Police Station.
They will all appear at Bethal Magistrates Court on Tuesday 26 July 2022 facing a charge of possession of suspected stolen vehicle.
The station Commander Lieutenant Colonel Josias Keith Africa thanked the security personnel at Bethal Mall for alerting the police about the suspicious vehicle which led to the arrest of the suspects by the police.
He further applauded the police for their swift response.
