Sifiso Kubheka was reported missing on 21 April 2024 by his family and a missing person’s file was opened with the eMbalemhle SAPS.

According to information at police disposal, later that week, Kubhekas car was found abandoned along the Old Brecken Road in eMbalenhle.

Kubheka’s lifeless body was discovered floating in the Roodebank River in a prone position.

During investigations, it was discovered that both his hands were tied with cable ties and his legs were tied with a rope attached to a huge rock. Kubheka was declared deceased by emergency personnel at the scene.

Four suspects have been arrested in connection with the kidnapping and murder of Kubheka by the eMbalenhle SAPS.

The Station management commended job well done by Capt Fanny Sindane, Warrant Officer Melusi Mthombeni, CST S Zondo and Ekasi Security for their hard work and for not leaving any stone unturned and voluntarily going out of their policing precinct after they received tangible information that needed urgent attention about suspects who committed this gruesome murder.
