Xolani Mfusi’s turning point like every artist came in 2011.
Born in Leslie, raised in Bethal, and now back in his hometown of Leslie, Xolani’s love for music started early. He began in 2011 doing secular music, chasing sound and stage. However, in that same year, his life took a different direction.
“I got saved, and my musical narrative changed,” said Xolani.
That decision redefined everything. Music was no longer just about beats and lyrics, it became ministry, a lifestyle, and a testimony.
“Gospel chose me because God’s timing is always perfect. Gospel is a lifestyle and when my life changed I had to do what is aligned with my journey in Christ.”
Although, Xolani balances two worlds. By day, he works as an Artisan in the electrical field at one of the companies around Secunda. By faith, he is a child of God, a worshipper, and an artist determined to give God praise through song.
His upcoming EP is more than just music, it’s a statement of growth.
“The build up to the EP means growing as a brand and also giving God praise for the good He has done,” he explained.
But his vision is bigger than himself. Xolani dreams of making history in his own hometown.
“In the next coming years it’s my dream to record my live recording and to actually be the first artist to record locally in my home town.”
For young people watching from the sidelines, his message is simple and sincere.
“Never give up on your dreams. Push on what God has given you,” said Xolani.
He is not just singing, he is living proof that when purpose meets faith, the music never stops.
