Different teams took part in the Govan Mbeki LFA promotional league on Saturday, 25 March 2023.
Despite the rainy cold weather, the teams participated in the league using different sports fields around eMbalenhle, but some teams could not play on the day because of the rain.
The spirit of football as well as love from the players and supporters could not allow the rain to stop them.
Over 13 teams are participating in the LFA promotional league.
Rising Stars FC played against Sasol Stallion FC under 19 years at the Sasol club eMbalenhle sports facilities, leading to a score of 2-1, thereby Rising Stars winning the match.
The day was made for Rising Stars as they got another win against Sasol Thistle Groove under 19 with a score of 2-1 where Banele Gwiji was crowned man of the match.
The games are currently in the second leg and are to continue during the next coming weeks.
