Indawo yosizo Foundation, in conjunction with the SAPS and Philasande No-Profit Organization, handed over clothes to Kuhlase Disability Center on Thursday, 14 December 2023, in Bethal.
The aim of the clothing drive was to provide children and adults at the center with clothes to keep warm and clean. The clothes were collected from different community members and stakeholders. The organizations began a campaign to collect clothes in February.
The organizations also gave hope to the children at the center by planting a tree of hope.
Furthermore, the children were treated to a Jar of Hope filled with candies and various foods , hot dogs, and sanitary pads.
We believe that it takes one word to change the lives of many, and we are grateful to the community for the support they have shown us as we were collecting the clothes throughout the year, said Zanele Gwebu, the founder of the Indawo Yosizo Foundation.
