Non profitable organisation based in Soweto handed over sanitary towels and school shoes at K.I Twala secondary school in Embalenhle on Friday, 23 September 2022.
The organisation founded by a group of young people in a movement to feed kids who couldn’t receive their meals from school due to Covid-19 restrictions.
According to Mr Mutepe Lufuno the head of operation Mpumalanga, in open inception, the foundation could only feed a maximum of 100 kids once a week but now it’s grown to extend of feeding over 400 kids, six(6) days a week.
“Our version is to grow and develop as organisation and improve live in our community”-said Mr Mutepe
“Kasi hero foundation have partnered with various organisations and individuals in donating over 2000 pairs of school shoes, 30 wheelchair for the disabled and elderly, 300 food parcels to needy families and over 500 sanitary towels to children around Soweto, Thohoyandou, Giyani and Secunda”- said Mr Ndivhuwo Liphadzi the co-founder and chairperson
He further state that the organisation has also been able to create employment for 12 ladies who assist with the day to day running of soup kitchen and other outreach initiatives.
Principal of K.I secondary school she was overwhelmed with gratitude for their help, she further stated that she appreciate Kasi hero foundation for choosing their school and gesture they made to the school hence they should keep rising and shine.
