On Saturday, 24 September 2022 Mmadis academy hosted a soccer tournament at lefalethu primary school grounds. The tournament was their 4th annual since it was last hosted back in 2019 and had to stop because of covid-19.
The aim of hosting the tournament was to celebrate heritage day in a different way. Two (2) ladies teams with no divisions were invited along with four (4) under 13 years team and four (4) under 15 year’s team.
Sasol Juventus won against rising stars ladies by score of ( 2-0 ) taking the trophy home, Meanwhile in the under 13 Carara defeated Sasol Juventus by ( 3-0 ) also taking trophy home. The under 15 division Mmadis Academy defeated Sasol Juventus with a score of ( 3-4 ) on penalties taking a trophy too.
Each team received first aid kit as a token of appreciation and a certificate for each player who took part in the tournament.
‘’I would like to extend my regards to Mr Kolobe for allowing us to use the school grounds together with each and every team that joined us on the day because if it weren’t for them the day was not going to be a success, this also goes to the parents who took their time to support their children at the grounds,’’ said Ms Nneheng Modise the event organizer of Mmadis Academy.
