Kinross Clinic hosted an open day on Thursday, 20 June 2024.

The main purpose of the open day was to alert the community as to how they could utilize the clinic and promote better health care.

Different services were also provided on the day by other health care stakeholders, which included HIV testing, blood pressure, and other chronic illnesses.

The community came out in numbers to access the services offered on the day.

Sr. Martha Morare, the clinic manager, addressed the community about the services provided at the clinic.

During her address, Sr. Morare urged the community members to make use of the clinic booking appointment system. She further urged the community to avoid taking complaints to social media but instead report them to management, which will take further steps in resolving complaints.

The government has made it easier that you come at a scheduled time, but because you are now used to queuing, we fail at that one every day. You do not have to wake up in the early hours of the morning to be assisted first, said the clinic manager, explaining how the booking system works.

The appointment booking system prevents patients from waiting a long period of time to be assisted. There are time slots that we use so that patients come at their desired time.

Patients can easily make the booking at the clinic prior to their appointment.

SASSA, the Fire Department, Social Development, and the SAPS were among the stakeholders invited to address the community on the services they offer.
