A man in his early 30’s (thirties) was brutally murdered and his body loaded in a wheelbarrow at KaMaqhekeza near Tonga on Monday, 17 May 2022.
According to reports, police received a call from community members about a body of a man which was seen in a wheelbarrow next to the road around 07h30 am.
Emergency Medical personnel were also notified about the incident and upon arrival they found the lifeless body of a man with bruises all over and he was certified dead at the scene.
It is suspected that he could have been attacked and case of murder has been opened but no arrest has been made at this point.

Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela has strongly raised her concerns regarding such incidents whereby members of the public take the law into their own hands.
The General has urged members of the public to collaborate with police as well as other law enforcement agencies and report to the authorities whenever they witness crime.
