A head-on collision involving two vehicles has claimed the lives of four individuals on the N12 road in Emalahleni between Witbank and Ogies.
The four people who perished were all passengers in one of the implicated vehicles.
At this time, neither the quantity nor the severity have been established.
The road is still still functioning as a stop and go, and emergency workers and law enforcement police are on the site.
The multiple vehicle collision was largely caused by reduced visibility due to early morning mist.
The collision includes articulated trucks, sedans, and light delivery vehicles (LDVs).
Motorists are once again encouraged to reduce speed, increase following distance, and switch on their headlights when driving in misty conditions.
