Byline: Levhuwani Matumba

NDP Foundation members, Mr Nkosinathi Hleza (also known as Nkosi DaPoet), Zama Ngwenya and Mduduzi Mahlobo donated kitchen appliances, utensils, clothing and money to the Mkhwanazi family in Embalenhle Ext 22.

The family lost everything in fire, including their two children on Friday night, 23 April 2021.

The mother of the deceased children was at the hospital accompanying her sick husband when the fire broke out.

The father who is still trying to come to terms with the sad news is still at the hospital.

Upon receiving the news, Nkosinathi used the social media to request help from the community on behalf of the family.

Good Samaritans did respond and donated different items to the family.

It was not for the first time Nkosinathi contribute his efforts and time to help a family.

He is known to be someone who is always willing to help those in need as he was seen donating groceries, helping to build shelters and also being a voice to the voiceless.

One of the family member, Ms Getrude Mahlangu thanked NDP Foundation for reaching out to the family and she encouraged them not to give up.

“We cannot thank you enough as the family.

You brought almost all basic needs,” said Ms Mahlangu.

The family still needs a shelter since their shack was burnt to almost nothing.

For those who want to help the family, they can contact

Ms Getrude Mahlangu at 063 640 4124.
