Sandile Kagiso Mantsoe who grew up in eMbalenhle, is currently serving a 32-years sentence in prison for killing his girlfriend Karabo Mokoena.
Montsoe appeared again at the Evander Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 16 February 2023 on fraud charges.
He is accused of visiting numerous government offices in December 2016, including the Department of Justice, Municipalities and Department of Education, convincing 180 individuals to pay over R2 million for a higher return on investment in his company, known as the Trillion Dollar Legacy.
Whereas it is allegedly further stated that the accused did not pay his client their money back as he promised, that’s where they resulted in opening a case against him for scamming them.
The case was postponed to March 2023.
