In commemorating the International Day of Older Persons, Sasol hosted the Older Person’s Outreach and Recreation Day on Wednesday, 30 October 2024, at Sasol Community Centre in eMbalenhle.
Ageing with dignity was the event’s theme, which symbolized the importance of strengthening care and support systems for older persons worldwide.
It also highlighted the rights and wellbeing of older persons and focused on health, economic security, and social participation.
“We are happy to celebrate this special day. This is a way of how Sasol showcases that every elder person in Govan Mbeki Municipality is loved, supported, and taken care of,” said Mashudu Ndou, Head of Corporate Affairs at Sasol.
The different organizations were required to sing three songs and have contestants, both male and female, participate in traditional and western beauty pageants.
