14 learners and a driver were injured during a bus accident that happened this afternoon, 19 July 2024.
The bus was said to be transporting learners from Emdibini Combined School to Vlaklaagte (Eplazini lakaSarel) when the incident happened.
It is alleged that the bus brakes failed and it lost control, then rolled over to the side of the road.
Some parents showed concern on the state of the bus and the tyres that looked worn out.When Seskhona Media arrived, all 14 children and the driver were already transported to the hospital.
“We have been complaining about these buses, especially the one involved in the accident since the beginning of this year,” said one of the parents.
