The Mpumalanga Black Business Council (MBBC) donated school shoes to learners at Shapeve Primary School as part of an initiative to give back to the community on Wednesday, 05 March 2025.
According to Sibusiso Masina, the President of MBBC, the visit was initiated after they came across a learner wearing indecent shoes, which they were not happy about.
The Mpumalanga Black Business Council reached out to other stakeholders to help them.
“We feel so relieved, knowing that the learners will gain more confidence to come to school because the issue of not having shoes can come with bullying,” said Mr Masina.
The Council donated fifty (50) pairs of shoes and requested that the teachers share with all the learners who need them.
Mr Shabangu, the school principal, appreciated the donations.
