The four are accused of the premeditated murder of Sifiso Lucky Kubheka from eMbalenhle
According to a family member, Zinhle Kubheka, who is a sister to Sifiso Kubheka, it is alleged that Sifiso, the deceased, had a debt with Nonhlanhlas mother, who was a loan shark.

Sifiso then managed to get Nonhlanhla employment and made a payment to her mother, but unfortunately, Nonhlanhla’s mother passed on before sifiso could finish paying his debt.
Subsequently, Sifiso managed to purchase a motor vehicle for himself.
According to Sfiso’s sister, what angered Nonhlanhla was that Sifiso bought a car while he had not completed pacing her mother’s debt.
Sifiso was kinapped for days, and his lifeless body was discovered at Roodebank Dam.
According to the information at the police disposal, Sifisos car was found abandoned along the old Brecken road in eMbalenhle and he was discovered in a dam with both his hands tied with cable ties and his legs attached to a huge rock.
The four, represented by advocates Matlala and Nkosi, all abandoned their bail applications, and the case was postponed to 21 June 2024 for further investigation.
