Sasol has received recognition at the Coal Industry Achiever Awards for its community development projects and operations safety.

The awards took place during the annual Coal Safe Conference held in Johannesburg on Thursday, 09 May 2024, where Sasol scooped three awards.

The Community Development Award was for the Sasol Electricity Upgrade Project, which involved the upgrading of the eMbalenhle electricity substation.

The project was undertaken through Sasol’s Social Labour Plan (SLP) and was handed over to the Govan Mbeki Municipality in 2023.
