South African rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes well known with his stage name, ‘AKA’ was shot last night in Durban, Florida Road on Friday, 10 February 2023 at about 22H00.
The rapper well known as Super Mega and hit maker of hip hop songs ‘Fela in Versace’ and ‘Composure’ passed away at the age of 35 and left his new lover Nadia Nakai and his daughter Kairo including his lovely family.
It is alleged that AKA was shot while standing on the pavement shorty after 22H00, according to a first responder who spoke on condition of anonymity on tweeter video trend.
The paramedic medical service couldn’t succeed to rescue AKA at the scene upon their arrival.
“It is with extreme sadness that we acknowledge the passing of our beloved son and confirm his untimely and tragic passing on the evening of February 10, 2023. We are awaiting further details from the Durban police,” said AKA’s parent Tony and Lynn Forbes on the statement they released on tweeter.
They further stated that they thank everyone for the love and support they have received thus far and ask everyone to continue to keep them in prayers, hence in this time of grief they appeal for compassion, space and time to congregate as family to decide on the upcoming days.
