As part of Celebrating Youth Day on Friday 16 June 2023, Sisonke Youth Development, which is a non-profit organization based in Charl Cilliers joined hands to clear their town.
The aim of the cleaning program was to rub off all the illegal dumping sites in Charl Cilliers, keeping the environment clean.
The program started at 10h00 and ended at 13h00.
Sisonke spokesperson Mr Lucky Siyaya said part of the cleaning campaign was to raise awareness within the community of Charl Cilliers about keeping a safe and healthy environment.
Various stakeholders from the community lent a helping hand towards the success of the cleaning campaign.
Underground Support Solutions (USS), BP garage ( local business) and Siyaphuthuma Plumbing and Sons Pty Ltd (local business) are part of the stakeholders that contributed to the event.
