In closing of the Mandela month, three (3) different furniture stores visited Inkosinami Drop-In Centre on Wednesday, 26 July 2023 at Ext 14 in eMbalenhle
The purpose of the visit observed the challenges faced by the children who visit the centre every morning before school and after school whereby they also do their homework.
The stores donated furniture items including a fridge, microwave, iron, a kettle and other items.
The children were also given winter hats, packages of junk food and soccer balls to play with on weekends.
The aim of the visit was to also show love to children who live with single parents or no parents at all.
“When I visited the stores to ask for donations, I did not think that it would so big.
I am really grateful and happy to see my children smiling and excited for the gifts,” said Esther Phindile Kubeka, founder and chairperson of Inkosinami Drop-In Centre.
