Thick queens production hosted a boot camp at eMbalenhle Sasol club on Saturday 02 July 2022 in preparation of the coming fashion show that will be held around November 2022.

The morning fitness program started at 09am until 12pm.

According to the event organizer Nicholas Mashiane, the fashion show is strictly for plus size models.

The fashion show is aimed at restoring self-confidence and love to plus sized people who find it hard to fit in society and also struggle to get the right sizes in stores.

“This initiative is to boost morals of the models here so that when they come for auditions they are fit and ready for the fashion show.

The reason we are going for plus size models is because all fashion shows in the country cater for smaller sizes and that’s because the first fashion show was held in France and they are skinny by nature and when you look at Africa we have curvaceous women so basically thick queens is celebrating African women,’’ said Nicholas Mashiyane.

On the  6th of August 2022, Thick Queen’s Production will be hosting auditions at Sasol recreation club at eMbalenhle.

The program is open to the public, anyone is welcomed from people who want to model to designers who want to showcase their designs.

Stalls will also be open for those who want to sell products.

Continuous boot camps are conducted on weekdays at Sasol club for people who want to join.
