Thomas Nhlabathi Secondary School rains champions of schools debate

Mr Thembinkosi Ntombela, Chairperson of
Greater Heights Youth Empowerment a Govan Mbeki Youth organization hosted their 5th High schools debate competition on the 4th of August 2023  sponsored by Evander Gold Mining.

Fourteen (14) High Schools participated in the debate competition.

Thomas Nhlabathi Secondary school from Embalenhle became the Champions of the day defeating Chief Ampie Secondary school from Leandra and the 3rd place went to Highveld Park High School from Secunda.

Best speakers who won themselves Laptops and goodies from Evabder Gold Mine were Ali Qhamza from Osizweni SecondarySchool, Isra Malek from Thistle groove Combined School and  Hana Bhorat from Curro Secunda.

The chairperson of Greater Heights Youth Empowerment Mr Thembinkosi Ntombela said he was very grateful to Evander Gold Mining PTY Ltd for the support of Sponsoring the event and gratitude to all schools that participated participatedbin the completion.

The winners of the debate were gifted with six (6) Laptops three (3) to the Champions and the other three (3) to the best speakers.
