The Health department confirms first case of covid-19 varient called EG.5 in SA

South Africans are yet to prioritise hygiene once again, with new variant of Covid found.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared a new COVID-19 variant which it says is likely to cause a spike in infections, but not increased severity.

First case has been recorded in the Gauteng province.

The symptoms of EG.5 are said to be similar to those of Covid-19.

Currently the virus is recorded yo be on the rise in the US,Europe and Asia.
