On Monday 10 August police received information about explosion at the scrap metal business premises near secunda dumping side.
On arrival, police found two (2) men who already certified dead, and the other four who we seriously injured being attended by paramedics.
All victims are employees of the scrap metal company and they were on duty when horrific incident happened.
According to witnesses, one (1) of the deceased was cutting the closed steel container with a grinder after few minutes the container exploded killing him and his colleague, four (4) other colleagues who were closer sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital by paramedics.
Police opened a case of inquest and all role players were summoned to the scene.
Investigation still continues.
