Born and raised in the Govan Mbeki Municipality at eMbalenhle, Colline Masilela pleads with the public to make her dreams come true in the modeling journey. 

The 21-year-old model described herself as a bubbly, determined, and empathetic young girl. She is one of the finalists in Miss Remarkable South Africa.

Colline started her modeling journey at the age of nineteen (19), when she was awarded Best Personality at the Mr and Miss High School eMbalenhle 2023. 

This was after she fell in love with fashion, as she used to wear her sister’s clothes and makeup, and then hit the runway in the passage. Growing up, Colline wanted to be a fashion model, but she believed that she needed to enter pageantry in order to be in the fashion modeling industry. 

“I have no regrets with entering pageantry because since then the love I have for modeling is unexplainable,” said Colline. 

Although she has a talent for singing and would love to be one of the best artists one day, she is still passionate about her modeling journey.

“Winning this pageant would mean a lot to me in many ways. Personally, it would mean that as a young Black girl, anything is possible; no matter what kind of obstacles you may come across, they don’t define your success or future; instead, they should give you the courage and enthusiasm for you to be able to strive,” said Colline. 

The passionate model believes that young girls, especially those residing in GMM, should stand up for authenticity and have a purpose for why they were born, create a positive impact, and be remarkable. 

“As the next Miss Remarkable South Africa, I will be the voice of the voiceless youth and continue to advocate for humanity worldwide,” she said. 

Colline also believes that one day she will grow bigger in the modeling industry in terms of travelling internationally with her studies completed, because she dreams of owning a modeling agency company and continuing to advocate for ‘humanity’ and create a positive impact in people’s lives worldwide.
