A case of murder was opened at Trichardt Police Station after a woman was found dead in one of the farms around Trichardt.
According to the police report, the woman was found on Tuesday, 18 May 2021 at about 4pm by a member of the community who was horse riding at the farm.
The woman was found lying naked and facing down with an ANC t-shirt around her neck.
She had multiple stabbing wounds on her upper body, her thighs and lower abdomen was also reportedly burned.
Paramedics certified her dead on scene.
The deceased has not been identified yet and is said to be between 30 and 40 years of age.
Trichardt police spokesperson, Sgt Valencia Koma urged anyone who might have information that can assist on the case or might know the deceased or anyone with a family member that is missing fitting the description of the deceased to contact Detective/Const Amukelani Brian Kwinika at 082 465 2364 or 017 638 0241.
