On Monday, 07 October 2024, around 06h30 police at Elukwatini received a call that at Nhlazatshe no.02, there is an african male who has been stabbed, by his girlfriend.
According to the police on their arrival, the boyfriend was declared deceased at ghe scene. The deceased was found inside the yard where the woman resides and the woman was still in the vicinity.
It is alleged that the lady was with her boyfriend and the baby, the ex-boyfriend then came in the early hours of that fateful morning, demanded that they open the door for him.
When they denied opening the door, the then broke the door open, that’s when an altercation ensued and a fight broke up, then the ex was fataly stabbed.
All relevant stakeholders were called, and the deceased was certified dead by Embhuleni Emergency Services and identified by his reletive.
The woman had an interim protection order against the ex boyfriend of which she applied for on January 2024. The protection order was not served up until the date of appearance, as the respondent was no more residing around Elukwatini.
She did not renew it. She had also opened a common assault case on the month of September, but she also withdrew it.
The woman will be attending court at Chief Albert Luthuli Magistrate Court.
